Nicaragua is just one hour from Liberia city. The country offers a vast of attractions; the biggest lake in Central America an active volcano and the colonial city of Granada to mention some. 

The two day and one night package departs from the beach hotel early in the morning to enjoy breakfast on route and avoid border crowds.

Rivas is the first town once you enter the country, then continue your drive to the colonial city of Granada for a walking tour. Overnight at hotel  El Colonial or similar in Granada.

A lake Nicaragua visit, which includes a boat cruise to ride along the "isletas" small islands where fancy houses and recreational areas are build in, they certainly have a story to tell.

Afterwards, a typical and traditional lunch is served in a Granada local restaurant.

Afternoon at leisure to walk the colonial city, where churches, historical monuments and buildings will tell the history of this place.

After breakfast depart to Masaya to visit the artisan towns where pottery and woodcrafts are made. The look out point at Catarinas place is just fantastic for views and shopping. The biggest local craft market in the country is also in Masaya, where you have an opportunity to meet some of this families and help the local economy.

After lunch, visit the national park Masaya Volcano, where the active crater is. This volcanic activity gives you the chance to see the lava rocks in the crater. The darker it is the better to appreciate the incandescent colors on the rocks. 

 

After this visit depart to the border to return to the beach hotel.
